PixelEye is a local utility tool designed to view image EXIF data, display resolution, and remove metadata.
Photo and Media Access: To provide the core functionality of viewing EXIF data and creating edited copies, the App requires access to your device's photo library or storage. We only read the photos you select or browse within the App.
Location Data: Photos often contain embedded GPS coordinates (EXIF data). The App reads this data to show you where the photo was taken. We require location permissions only if you wish to use the map feature to view photo locations.
No Personal Data Collection: We do not require account registration. We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identification information.
2. Data Storage and Processing (Local Only)
On-Device Processing: All image processing, EXIF parsing, and privacy metadata erasing are performed strictly on your local device.
No Server Uploads: We DO NOT upload your photos, location data, or metadata to any external servers. Your original photos remain untouched unless you choose to delete them within the App.
3. Permissions We Request
To use PixelEye, we may ask for the following permissions:
Storage/Photos (iOS: Photo Library / Android: Media Storage): Required to read image metadata and save generated copies.
Location (Optional): Required only if you use the map functionality to display the photo's shooting location.
4. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services (such as Google Maps or Apple Maps) to display photo locations. These third parties may collect information used to identify you in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
