Privacy Policy for TapBit
Effective Date: April 17, 2026
Welcome to TapBit ("we," "us," or "our"). We prioritize your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the information we handle when you use TapBit on iOS and Android devices.
1. Data Collection and Storage
TapBit is designed with a Privacy-First and Local-First approach:
User Data (Habits & Records): All data you create within the app—including habit names, goal settings, units, color preferences, and all tap-count logs—is stored locally and securely on your own device.
No Accounts Required: We do not require registration or login. Therefore, we do not collect your name, phone number, email address (unless you contact support), or social media information.
No Server Access: We do not maintain cloud servers to store your habit data. This means your data remains entirely under your control; we cannot access, view, or sell your personal records to any third party.
2. Device Permissions and Usage
To provide its core services, TapBit may request the following permissions:
Notifications: Strictly used to send you local habit reminders at the times you have explicitly scheduled. These are triggered by the local OS and do not involve remote server communication.
Haptics/Vibration: Used solely to provide tactile feedback when you interact with the counter, enhancing the user experience.
3. Third-Party Services
To maintain app stability, we may use anonymous diagnostic tools (such as Google Firebase Crashlytics or Apple's diagnostic reports). These tools collect only non-identifiable technical data, such as device model, OS version, and crash logs. This data is never linked to your identity or your specific habit content.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
You have full control over your data:
In-App Deletion: You can delete specific entries, individual habits, or clear all data within the app settings at any time.
Deletion via Uninstall: If you uninstall TapBit from your device, the operating system will automatically and permanently delete all local data associated with the app.
Backup Disclaimer: Since data is stored only on your device, it cannot be recovered if you switch devices unless you perform a full system-level backup (e.g., via iCloud or Google Drive).
5. Children’s Privacy
TapBit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age). If a parent or guardian discovers that a child is using the app and wishes to erase the records, simply uninstall the app from the device.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our features or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.

欢迎使用 TapBit(以下简称“我们”或“本应用”)。
